Legacy Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) partners will hold six positions on the new 15-strong board at merged transatlantic firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP).

Former Bryan Cave partners will make up the balance of the board, with nine US partners occupying roles.

Legacy BLP's head of global tax Elizabeth Bradley, head of asset finance Russell Clifford, head of investment management Antony Grossman, head of international real estate and infrastructure James Knox, chairman Robert MacGregor, and dispute resolution partner Segun Osuntokun, all have places on BCLP's inaugural board, which will deal with partnership matters.

They will sit alongside Bryan Cave corporate partner Steven Baumer, real estate partner Ron Emanuel,  antitrust partner Rebecca Nelson, M&A partner Donal O'Brien, financial services partners Katie Schwarting and Gregory Worthy, and commercial litigation partners Cliff Stricklin, Lee Marshall and Bob Thompson.

MacGregor will also act as the firm's senior partner for EMEA, while former Bryan Cave M&A partner Bill Seabaugh will be senior partner for the Americas. Legacy BLP senior partner Neville Eisenberg does not have a position within BCLP's senior management team but remains a partner and will be involved in innovation efforts.

The merged firm's management committee is split 50:50 between the UK and US firms, with legacy BLP finance director David Rowe and Bryan Cave COO David Fleisher sitting alongside four partners from each firm. The partners on the committee all hold leadership positions for the merged firm's four key global departments: corporate, finance, litigation and corporate risk, and real estate.

BLCP corporate deputy managing partner Jonathan Morris, real estate managing partner Chris de Pury, finance managing partner Adam Dann, and litigation deputy managing partner Nathan Wilmott, all join the management committee from the legacy UK arm.

They join US colleagues corporate managing partner Peter Van Cleve, real estate deputy managing partner Andrew Auerbach, finance deputy managing partner Laurence Franzen, and litigation managing partner Christine Cesare.

BCLP formally launched today with combined revenue of more than than $900m (£640m). The merged firm has 32 offices across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia and more than 1,600 lawyers. BCLP represents 191 of the Fortune 500, including 53 of the top 100 companies in the world. The firm also advises 12 of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds.
