White & Case and Latham & Watkins are advising on the London listing of Czech cybersecurity company Avast, which is set to value the company at £2.4bn.

Shares in the company are due to start trading on the main market of the London Stock Exchange next week at a price of £2.50 per share, in what will be one of the biggest-ever technology listings in London.

White & Case is acting for Avast with a team co-led by London-based private equity co-head Ian Bagshaw and City corporate partners Jonathan Parry and Jill Concannon.

The US firm's team also includes Prague-based central and eastern Europe technology, media and telecoms head Jan Andrusko, as well as London corporate partners Guy Potel and Steven Worthington, tax partner Prabhu Narasimhan and banking partner Justin Wagstaff.

Bagshaw said the firm's relationship with Avast "has gone from strength to strength in recent years".

Latham is representing the underwriters with a team led by London corporate and capital markets partners James Inness and Brett Cassidy.

Avast, which is headquartered in Prague, also has offices in the US, Germany, China, South Korea and Taiwan.

White & Case has acted for the company on several transactions, including its $1.3bn (£960m) acquisition of AVG Technologies, the initial private equity investment by Summit Partners in 2010, the minority investment by CVC Capital Partners in 2014 and its recent acquisition of Piriform.

Bagshaw added: "Advising Avast on a London IPO of this magnitude and strategic significance has been hugely exciting, and is another milestone in our relationship with this ambitious and successful company as it begins the next chapter in its exciting growth story."
