Clifford Chance (CC) has reappointed Rob Lee and Adrian Cartwright, the magic circle firm's global practice leaders for finance and capital markets, to their roles for another four-year term.

Both Lee and Cartwright have led their practices since 2014, when Lee took over as global finance head from Mark Campbell and Cartwright (pictured) replaced David Dunnigan in the capital markets leadership role.

The reappointments will take effect from 1 September.

CC global managing partner Matthew Layton commented: "Under Rob and Adrian's leadership, our global finance and capital markets practices have gone from strength to strength, and the last year has seen the firm advising on some of the biggest IPOs in the market."

Lee, who also leads CC's financial markets business unit, specialises in domestic and cross-border acquisition finance, syndicated loans, MBOs, structured financings and corporate restructurings, while Cartwright, who specialises in equity capital markets, recently advised on Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banking Group's £1.7bn takeover of Virgin Money.

The news comes after CC appointed Melissa Fogarty and Nigel Wellings to take over from Mark Poulton as co-heads of the magic circle firm's London corporate practice.
