Baker McKenzie has promoted six London lawyers to its partnership in a 68-strong intake of new partners around the world.
The new City partners are tax lawyers Jessica Eden and David Jamieson, intellectual property lawyer Jessica Le Gros, banking and finance lawyer Jeremy Lev, M&A lawyer Richard Needham and employment and compensation lawyer Jonathan Sharp.
The promotions come after the firm last year made up five London lawyers in an 80-strong round.
London managing partner Alex Chadwick said: "This a significant number of new promotions for London which, alongside our recent lateral hires, reflects that we are well and truly in growth mode."
Bakers has added a number of lateral partners to its London office during the past 12 months, including capital markets partner Michael Doran from White & Case and finance partner Matthew Cox from Ropes & Gray.
By region, the firm's Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) offices have received the largest share of this year's promotions, with 24 lawyers made up, equating to 35% of the total intake. By practice, tax has received the largest share, with 14 (21%), followed by M&A with 13.
Almost 40% of the new partners are female, including Eden and Le Gros in London.
The firm, which now has more than 1,600 partners around the world, is currently bringing its London base and seven other offices across the EMEA region into a single profit pool, as part of a push towards closer financial integration.
The newly integrated business, which covers London, Brussels, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Madrid, Johannesburg, Bahrain and Qatar, will go live on 1 July.
