LWIA Winners Large-16_616x372

Finalists: Conyers Dill & Pearman; Dentons; Hogan Lovells (highly commended); Magnusson; Paul Hastings; Simmons & Simmons.

Offshore firm Ogier picked up the international law firm innovation award for a cross-jurisdiction, cross-service line initiative to streamline transaction processes, promote a culture of continuous improvement and deliver a better client experience.

As part of a firm-wide infrastructure investment and development programme, Ogier is training all staff in process-mapping skills. The winning project involves using those skills, along with those of Ogier's dedicated service innovation team, to streamline and refine the way that client work and business services processes are undertaken, to deliver a more efficient, consistent and transparent (from the client's perspective) manner.

The award submission focused on the successful launch and rapid take-up of the project, which has been championed by the firm's legal executive board and partners, and which has been greeted with strong feedback from clients, some of whom have shared their own process maps with Ogier's service innovation team.

"Results are astonishing," praised a judge.
