Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP) and Farrer & Co are advising as the Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A) takes out space at the former Olympic Press and Broadcast Centre in Queen Elizabeth Park.

The pre-let space will be used for the V&A's new Collection and Research Centre, which will open alongside a new museum at Stratford Waterfront.

The centre will be open to the public and is being designed by the architects behind the famous New York High Line park, Diller Scofidio + Renfro.

BCLP acted for landowner Delancey on the deal with a team led by real estate partner Caroline Walker, tax partner Paul Shaw, disputes partner Michael Metliss, planning and environment partner Tim Smith and commercial partner Marcus Pearl.

Farrer & Co advised the V&A, which is led by director Tristram Hunt, a former Labour MP.

Last month, BCLP took a lead role alongside Hogan Lovells and Eversheds Sutherland as Facebook signed a pre-let to take on 611,000 sq ft of office space in King's Cross.

Facebook already has two UK offices in London and will occupy three buildings at King's Cross, joining other high-profile tenants including Google, Universal Music and Louis Vuitton.

BCLP acted for longstanding client King's Cross Central Limited Partnership (KCCLP), fielding a team led by real estate partners Chris Rowe, Liana Hewson and Tessa Kimber, and corporate tax partner Matthew Poole. Eversheds advised Facebook on the deal.

The firm has also agreed a post-merger deal for new City offices that will see legacy Bryan Cave's London lawyers move in with their new colleagues. In April, the firm exchanged contracts to move into Governor's House, a 125,000 sq ft building at 5 Laurence Pountney Hill, between London Cannon Street and Monument stations.
