Litigation funder Vannin Capital has hired Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP) City international arbitration partner Ania Farren, in the latest partner exit from the firm.
Farren is expected to join Vannin next month as a managing director.
She joined legacy Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) in 2016 as a partner, before which she was special counsel at US firm K&L Gates for three years.
Vannin Capital CEO Richard Hextall said: "Responding to the evolving landscape of the international arbitration market, and its funding needs, continues to be a key priority for Vannin. Ania's appointment highlights this and demonstrates our commitment to hiring first-class practitioners to support the needs of our growing international client base in the arbitration space."
Farren's departure from BCLP is the fourth London partner exit to emerge this month.
Contentious construction and engineering partners Catherine Gelder and David Robertson have quit the firm's London office to join CMS and White & Case respectively, while structured finance partner Rachel Kelly left to join McDermott Will & Emery's London office, alongside counsel Kerry Pettigrew.
Last month, BCLP bolstered its City base with the hire of Mukul Chawla QC who previously led the Serious Fraud Office team investigating Libor manipulation, and conducted the first Libor manipulation prosecutions in the UK. The firm has also hired family law partner Elizabeth Hicks from Irwin Mitchell to head up its London family asset protection team, which is part of the firm's wider private client practice.
A spokesperson for BCLP said: "We would like to thank Ania for her work as part of the BCLP Litigation and Corporate Risk team. We wish her success for the future."
