Winston & Strawn’s Asia practice continues to shrink as its Asia managing partner, David Hall-Jones, has retired. The firm has not named his replacement.

Hong Kong-based Hall-Jones, who spent 30 years in private practice, left Winston & Strawn at the end of July after 10 years with the firm. He joined in 2008 as part of a three-partner team from Heller Ehrman to launch an Asia practice for the Chicago-based firm. Alongside Hall-Jones was former Heller Hong Kong office head Simon Luk, who now chairs Winston & Strawn’s Asia practice, and former partner Michael Phillips, who has since left the firm.
