Three-way merger creates new Spanish law firm
The new firm is made up of eight partners in three different regions

Three Spanish law firms have completed a three-way merger, combining offices and staff to create a new local firm, Zurbaran Abogados.
It combines law firms Zamora de Claver, Cuellar Abogados and RZS Abogados y Economistas.
The new outfit will cover all practice areas, except transport, with offices in Madrid, Seville and Zaragoza, and comprise eight partners and a total of more than 50 staff.
The six founding partners are Javier Romero Martínez-Cañavate and Jerónimo Zamora López from RZS, Javier Romero Iribas and Ángel Zamora González de La Peña from Zamora de Claver, and brothers Adolfo and Miguel Cuéllar Portero from Cuéllar Abogados.
Jose Manuel García-Quílez and Ricardo Astorga Morano hired from Spanish law firm Montero Aramburu complete the partnership.
The firm's president is Javier Romero Martínez-Cañavate. The Seville office director is Jerónimo Zamora López, the Madrid office director Ángel Zamora González, and the Zaragoza office director is Javier Romero Iribas.
The firm said the partners already have strong relationships with one another, having worked together between their separate firms in the past.
A statement on the new firm's LinkedIn page says this new stage of development offers clients a multidisciplinary service with high added value generated by its combined experience and collaboration.
Last year, Fieldfisher launched in Spain with a local merger, giving the firm offices in Barcelona and Madrid.
Meanwhile, major Spanish law firm Garrigues now has total of 300 partners following its most recent promotion round.

The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
