Taylor Wessing has won a role alongside U.S. firms Mayer Brown and Milbank advising on the sale of music score producer Audio Network to Canadian media giant Entertainment One.

Audio Network, which was founded in 2001 by Andrew Sunnocks and produces scores for hit TV series including Killing Eve and The Night Manager, is being acquired for £178 million.

It has a catalogue of more than 150,000 songs and frequently collaborates with leading media networks such as the BBC, National Geographic and MTV.

Mayer Brown is advising Entertainment One on the acquisition, with its team led by London corporate partners Robert Hamill and Rebecca Bothamley. The firm has a longstanding relationship with eOne, having previously advised on its accelerated IPO and the acquisition of the rights to popular childrens' television show Peppa Pig.

Milbank also advised Entertainment One on debt financing issues, with its team including London-based global capital markets head Tim Peterson and New York leveraged finance partner Michael Bellucci. The media business also received advice from Canadian law firm Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt.

Audio Network is being advised by Taylor Wessing, with its international head of technology, media and communications Mike Turner and private equity partner Duncan McDonald. Tax partners Anna Humphrey and Robert Young also provided advice.
