U.S. firm Debevoise & Plimpton has made up three partners in its London office – the largest annual round ever for its City base.

City-based tax lawyer Cecile Beurrier, litigation lawyer Christopher Boyne and competition lawyer Timothy McIver have all made the cut in the firm's latest round.

A trio of lawyers were also promoted in the firm's New York base, and a sole lawyer was made up in the Washington, D.C office.

Last year, the City office made up two lawyers: corporate associate John Rife and international dispute resolution counsel Samantha Rowe.

The U.S. firm has made up 10 lawyers in its City base in the past five years, a firm spokesperson said in a statement.

The promotions are effective from July 1.

In December, fellow U.S. firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan made up its first female partner in London after more than a decade in the City, while Dechert made up three City lawyers in one of its largest-ever global promotions rounds.
