King & Wood Mallesons has hired banking and finance partner Katherine Ke, who was previously Shanghai counsel at Clifford Chance, to help the firm capture cross-border asset finance work as Hong Kong develops into an international hub for finance and aviation.*

Ke, who will be based in Hong Kong, specialises in cross-border financing transactions, including syndicated loans, project finance, structured finance, trade finance and receivables finance, as well as asset finance and the aviation sector.

Ke leaves Clifford Chance after more than a decade with the Magic Circle firm in Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong, as well as a secondment in 2008 to the London office; she was promoted to counsel in Shanghai in 2014. Earlier in her career, Ke was an associate at Chinese firm Fangda Partners from 2002 to 2005.
