Morgan Lewis has made up a sole London lawyer to partner in its latest promotion round.
City finance lawyer Victoria Thompson has been promoted – the only London lawyer to make the grade within a 30-strong global round.
Thompson was previously of counsel at the U.S. firm, having joined from rival Reed Smith's London base last year.
Her practice covers cross-border and international financing transactions, focusing on asset-based lending, borrowing base financings and distressed debt funding.
Morgan Lewis has historically made up few lawyers in its City office. Last year, it promoted two.
The rest of the firm's promoted lawyers this year hail from across its U.S. offices, spanning locations including Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.
Promotions come into effect from October 2019.
