Goodwin Procter has recruited White & Case restructuring partner Céline Domenget Morin as a partner in Paris.

Domenget Morin, who had been a partner at White & Case for six years, will head Goodwin's financial restructuring practice in Paris.

"Bringing Céline on board to lead our restructuring practice in Paris strengthens our ability to handle complex restructuring and financing issues in France and around the world," Maxence Bloch, chair of Goodwin's Paris office, said in a statement. "Céline's expertise complements Goodwin's leading transactional practice in France and augments our positioning as a major player in private equity and fund creation, corporate financing and tax representations."

Domenget Morin stated that she was thrilled to join Goodwin at a time of significant momentum in Paris and globally. "Goodwin has a formidable international platform capitalising on the synergies between private equity, corporate finance and restructuring, and where these practices converge with the technology industry," she said.

Domenget Morin advises corporations, shareholders and creditors on judicial and out-of-court restructurings, and complex out-of-court and insolvency proceedings. She counsels investigators seeking opportunities in distressed businesses and has significant experience in distressed M&A and insolvency proceedings litigation.

She is on the board of directors of the Association pour le Retournement des Entreprises (Association for Company Turnarounds) and serves as co-chair of the France Invest turnaround capital committee.

Domenget Morin's hire follows Goodwin's recruitment of Sarah Fleury for its Paris office. Fleury joined Goodwin as a partner in its real estate industry practice from Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, where she headed the firm's French real estate group.
