Proskauer Rose.

Proskauer Rose has hired Stephenson Harwood corporate finance partner Warren Allan as a partner in its London office, reuniting him with several former King & Wood Mallesons colleagues.

Allan, whose practice focuses on private fund formation, leveraged buyouts and secondary transactions, leaves Stephenson Harwood after two and a half years at the U.K. top 50 firm.

He joined Stephenson Harwood at the start of 2017 as part of a three-partner team move from King & Wood Mallesons, which included KWM's private equity head Jonathan Pittal and private equity partner Gabriel Boghossian.

Allan's move also reunites him with legacy firm SJ Berwin's former managing partner Rob Day and corporate partner Andrew Wingfield, both of who left KWM's European arm ahead of its collapse in 2016, to join Proskauer. Allan had joined SJ Berwin as a trainee in 2002.

Earlier this year, Allan led a Stephenson Harwood team advising mid-market private equity firm Bowmark Capital on the raising of its sixth fund, Bowmark Capital Partners VI, which raised £600 million in 10 weeks.

Proskauer grew its turnover by nearly 10% in its latest financial results, seeing a record high of $977.9 million in 2017-18. Meanwhile, profits per equity partner at the firm hit $2.66 million in 2018, up 12.4% on the previous year.
