Simmons & Simmons has posted revenue growth of 6% for 2018-19, with profit per equity partner (PEP) rising by 4% to reach £710,000.

The firm's net profit also increased by 9% year on year, reaching £119 million for 2018-19.

Though the firm's revenues have climbed to £374 million from £354 million, growth has curbed slightly on on last year's figures, when the top line jumped 12% on the previous year, with net profit and PEP also increasing by 19% and 8% respectively.

Overall, these numbers represent sustained growth during the past three years, with revenues up by 27% and profit up 34% since 2015-16.

Jeremy Hoyland, managing partner of the firm, said: "This is the third consecutive year of strong financial performance for the firm and we are making good progress against our business plan.

"The year has been one of continued focus on client relationships and client service and how we can deliver smarter solutions for our clients."

In the past year, Simmons has promoted 15 lawyers to its partnership, including six women, and made 16 partner hires, including five in London.

The firm also opened offices in Dublin, Bristol and Hong Kong, and in China with new offices in Shenzhen. Last month, the firm expanded its Paris office with the hire of a private equity team.
