The Asia-Pacific general counsel for CBRE Global Investors, who previously worked at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and Davis Polk & Wardwell, died in Singapore on Sunday after falling several floors inside a shopping mall.

The victim was identified as U.S. citizen Aman Solomon, who was Asia-Pacific general counsel and chief compliance officer for CBRE Global Investors, the investment arm of the real estate firm.

Solomon moved from Los Angeles to Singapore for the job in early 2018. He started working for CBRE in 2013, and before that he was an associate with Gibson Dunn for a year. He started his career with Davis Polk in 2008 after earning a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Solomon, who was 35, fell several floors to his death inside a shopping mall in Singapore's Orchard Road commercial district on the afternoon of July 14.

The police are still investigating Solomon's death, according to Singaporean newspaper Straits Times.
