Banking litigation heavyweights at Barclays, Credit Suisse and BNP Paribas are among those lined up to judge Legal Week's inaugural Commercial Litigation & Arbitration Awards.

Firms have until August 7 to enter the new awards, which will showcase the most innovative and and challenging cases heard in the U.K. during the past year.

Applicants can enter 21 categories, divided into key disciplines including commercial litigation, real estate litigation, and IP litigation. Other categories include the Rising Star award, Litigator of the Year (In-House and Private Practice), and the Lifetime Achievement award.

Barclays head of litigation Tracey Dovaston and Credit Suisse EMEA head of litigation and investigations Damian Bisseker are among the line-up of judges, which also includes two litigation heavyweights – Arnold & Porter partner Hilton Mervis and Andrew Ayres QC from Maitland Chambers.

BNP Paribas head of group dispute resolution for the U.K., Channel Islands and Nordics Alison Kellett, Nomura head of corporate legal and litigation Daisy Levay, and Vodafone Group senior solicitor Clare Lynch, are also among the group of industry specialists.

The awards will take place on November 5, 2019 at the Waldorf Hilton, London.
