Elite Lawyers Instructed on Gary Senior Case
Top advisers have emerged on the case, which relates to a historical investigation into allegations of sexual assault.

Clyde & Co and Kingsley Napley partners are among the high-profile lawyers to have been instructed by the defendants in the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) case against Baker McKenzie, its former London head Gary Senior, and others.
This week (July 30), it emerged that Baker McKenzie, former partners Senior and Tom Cassels and former HR director Martin Blackburn have been referred to the Solicitiors' Disciplinary tribunal (SDT) over how they handled a historical investigation into misconduct against Senior.
Kingsley Napley partner Iain Miller is acting for Baker McKenzie, according to a person close to the matter.
Nigel West, believed to be the commercial litigation partner at Radcliffes Le Brasseur, is acting for Gary Senior, while Ian Ryan, a white-collar crime partner at Howard Kennedy, is acting for Martin Blackburn, according to the SDT website.
Clyde & Co partner Fergal Cathie is acting for Cassels, now a dispute resolution partner at Linklaters, and has instructed Fountain Court Chambers Richard Coleman QC, according to a Linklaters spokesperson.
They will be up against Daniel Purcell, a partner at Capticks who is acting for the SRA.
All the instructed lawyers are highly regarded in the field of investigations advice.
The first case management hearing will take place on August 12.
The SRA decision relates to how Bakers handled an internal investigation into allegations of inappropriate conduct by Senior in 2012.
Cassels and Blackburn, who were involved in that investigation, are accused by the SRA of allowing to "influence or seek to influence the conduct and outcome of the said investigation", and "failed to cause information to be appropriately shared within the firm as to the nature and outcome of the complaint as to the conduct of the First Respondent [Senior]".
In February last year, it emerged that a senior Baker McKenzie partner had allegedly sexually assaulted a female associate several years ago.
The partner, who could not be named, left the firm shortly after the allegations emerged.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

Yalowitz of Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer have entered their appearances for Hanaco Venture Capital and its executives, Lior Prosor and David Frankel, in a pending securities lawsuit. The action, filed on Dec. 24 in New York Southern District Court by Zell, Aron & Co. on behalf of Goldeneye Advisors, accuses the defendants of negligently and fraudulently managing the plaintiff's $1 million investment. The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls. Wolf of Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani to fend off a pending breach-of-contract lawsuit. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement.
