A team of six insurance lawyers from Norton Rose Fulbright has joined DAC Beachcroft in London.

The group includes insurance partner Kirsty Hick, legal directors Rebecca Bailey and Sarah O'Connell, and senior associates Jack Holling, Natasha Marshall and Cathryn Teverson.

Hick joined Norton Rose from CMS in 2014. The group will reunite with former Norton Rose EMEA insurance claims head and partner Liam O'Connell, who joined DAC Beachcroft in May to lead its London insurance practice.

Former Norton Rose associate Tamsin Stott also joined O'Connell at the insurance leader in May.

DAC Beachcroft global head of insurance Helen Faulkner said in a statement: "These strategic hires are pivotal as we continue to expand and strengthen key lines of our global insurance business."

The firm has grown internationally in recent months. At the start of the year, it launched an office in Paris with an eight-strong team hire from local firm HMN & Partners, to focus on the global and domestic insurance and industrial risks sector.

Meanwhile, in April it took over alliance firm McKinty and Wright to establish a base in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Up to 17 fee-earners will join DACB, the firm said in a statement, including six partners.
