Raymond Lou, a bilingual English and Mandarin speaker and Chinese inbound investment specialist, has joined Baker McKenzie's Sydney practice.

Lou joins the firm as a partner after four years at Norton Rose Fulbright, the last two as a partner.

"Raymond has an excellent track record of supporting Chinese inbound investment into Australia, particularly in the energy, resources and infrastructure sectors, and his appointment significantly strengthens our China-focused practice," Baker McKenzie Australia managing partner Anthony Foley said in an emailed statement.

According to Baker McKenzie's website, Lou has significant experience in public and private M&A transactions, with a particular focus on infrastructure and energy projects, and has represented both state-owned and private enterprises from China across a wide range of industries including power, renewables, health and fast-moving consumer goods.
