Norton Rose Fulbright Norton Rose Fulbright's London office sees senior corporate partner Chris Pearson move to New York.

Norton Rose Fulbright partner Chris Pearson, one of the firm's best-known U.K. corporate partners, has relocated to New York.

A Companies House notification indicates that Pearson's appointment at the firm's London office was terminated on September 8. A partner at the firm told Legal Week that Pearson has not left the firm but is simply relocating to New York.

A new profile has been created for Pearson on the firm's website. According to it, Pearson is now a foreign legal consultant and partner in the firm's New York-based corporate and M&A practice.

Pearson's expertise in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and stock exchange transactions has led him to take a spot as a leading individual in legal directories.

Last year, he advised Trinity Mirror on its £127 million acquisition of rival newspaper publishing group Northern & Shell, and in 2015 he worked on its £220m acquisition of remaining shares in regional newspaper publisher Local World.

Pearson also acted for Delta Air Lines on its $360m acquisition of a 49% stake in Virgin Atlantic in 2012, and French telecommunications giant France Telecom on the £10 billion combination of its Orange unit with Deutsche Telekom's T-Mobile unit in 2009.

Norton Rose Fulbright and Pearson did not respond to requests for comment.
