Pinsent Masons has become the latest firm to launch a project management division aimed at helping support delivery of matters on time and on budget.

According to the firm, the service has been rolled out globally and currently comprises more than 20 project managers and staff. The firm also stated it is looking to hire more project managers across the U.K., Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.

The service will be embedded into client teams of major projects, litigations and transactions, and the firm said it has already won mandates in the U.K., mainland Europe and South Africa.

The division is led by U.K.-based Dee Tamlin, who was appointed head of client and legal project management last year.

In 2013, the firm became one of the first in London to provide a flexi-lawyering service, Vario. Earlier this year, the initiative was rolled out in Hong Kong, following a previous expansion into Australia.

The latest move into project management makes Pinsents the latest firm to provide non-legal advice alongside its core offering.

In July, BLM launched a business consultancy division to tackle "operational inefficiencies", while in October last year, HFW launched its own consulting venture.
