Boutique Australian law firm Addisons has hired two partners, including one from Dentons, to expand into construction law and broaden its property law team.

Doron Rivlin joins the firm from Dentons with a team of three lawyers to establish a construction arm at Addisons.

The construction team will provide complementary building and engineering law knowledge and expertise for Addisons' property and environmental and planning teams, Addisons said.

Steven Spyros, who specialises in transaction structuring across a range of real estate, finance, corporate and commercial areas, joins the firm as a partner from local firm Steven James Lawyers & Advisers, where he was principal.

"The core commitment of Addisons is to provide the highest-quality legal services to our clients. Our new property and construction partners will enhance the services provided by our existing teams in the environment and planning and property sectors," said managing partner David Ferguson.

Addisons now has a property, construction, and environment and planning team of 19, comprising six partners, two special counsels, five senior associates and six solicitors to support clients' expanding needs.

Dentons did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
