Clifford Chance has bolstered its global restructuring and insolvency practice with the hire of partner Delphine Caramalli in Paris.

Caramalli joins from French firm Bremond & Associes, where she has been a restructuring partner for seven years.

Prior to that role, she was head of restructuring at STC Partners in Paris for almost five years. She also spent time as an associate across Fried Frank's offices in Paris, London and New York, as well as in Weil Gotshal & Manges' Paris office.

Philip Hertz, CC's global head of restructuring and insolvency, said: "Delphine is a key high-profile addition to the firm's existing restructuring and insolvency expertise across Europe, MENA, Asia-Pacific and the Americas. We look forward to welcoming her to the firm."

Caramalli advises a range of clients, including shareholders and private equity funds, on insolvency proceedings and financial restructurings.

Last month, Clifford Chance appointed M&A partner Mathieu Remy as the new managing partner of the Paris office. Remy will succeed current managing partner Yves Wehrli in May 2020. Wehrli has been managing the office since 2000.

According to the Magic Circle firm, it now has more than 170 lawyers in its Paris base, including 37 partners.
