Gowling WLG has elected corporate M&A and private equity partner Andy Stylianou as its new chair.
Stylianou currently leads the firm's London corporate and private equity team and will replace the incumbent Andrew Witts in May 2020. Witts will return to fee-earning work in the firm's fraud and asset recovery practice.
In a statement, Stylianou said: "It's an exciting new role for me and we're very ambitious about where the firm is headed. We've always been famous for our people, our culture and going above and beyond for clients, and we're now competing on a much bigger international scale. I'll be spending time with people across the firm and our clients around the world, so that we stay ahead of the pack."
