Ashurst has teamed up with leading "New Law" outfit UnitedLex to provide an investigations offering in Germany.

According to the firm, the partnership is a first of its kind in Germany involving a law firm and an alternative legal services provider collaborating on an integrated solution.

The firm describes the offering as a "German-language investigations solution", which will see both firms offer compliance, discovery and investigation management services to clients, with a particular focus on technological solutions.

The service will be offered initially in Germany, but the firm has said it will consider rolling it out to other jurisdictions in accordance with client demand.

The collaboration is Ashurst's first with UnitedLex and third with an alternative legal provider this month.

Last week, the firm teamed up with Elevate and Cognia Law to launch a new flexible resourcing platform, which will allow it to source contract lawyers and allow its clients to access technical expertise for secondments.

The firm also recently unveiled its inaugural fintech programme, FinTech Legal Labs, which offers participating firms the chance to gain insight into legal issues affecting their business, as well as accessing the firm's network of corporate clients.

Earlier in the year, Ashurst launched an in-house tech development and investment arm, called Ashurst Digital Ventures, which aims to develop tech in-house primarily to sell to the firm's clients.
