Paul Hastings has become the latest firm to roll out an expanded parental leave policy to its London office, with its lawyers and staff now able to take up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave.

The firm had introduced the policy in its U.S. offices in June but the London office will receive the same benefits as of December 1.

The 14 weeks applies to men and women, foster or adoptive parents, and is available for lawyers and staff members. Birthing parents will also be eligible for additional parental leave, up to 30 weeks of full or partially paid time away, the firm said.

"The expanded policy demonstrates the firm's commitment to creating an inclusive and flexible workplace that fuels creativity and productivity for its lawyers and other professionals, and an environment where top talent can thrive and grow," the firm said in a statement, adding that the firm is looking at options to roll the programme out to all other offices.

The firm also announced that it was introducing an 'active wellbeing plan' for eligible employees in its London office, in which employees can receive up to a £75 a month to put towards sport, fitness, health and wellbeing costs.

Last week, Ashurst announced that it would be expanding its shared parental leave policies following a global review. All of the firm's partners are now entitled to at least 18 weeks of fully paid primary-carer leave.
