Hogan Lovells has promoted eight lawyers to its partnership in London in its latest promotions round—an improvement of two on last year.
Worldwide, a total of 29 lawyers were promoted to the partnership, while a further 56 were made counsel.
In addition to the eight new partners in the U.K., a further eight lawyers were promoted to counsel. Meanwhile, 14 were made up to partner in the Americas, six in Continental Europe, and one in Tokyo.
Women make up 50% of the latest London cohort, with new City partners including Fiona Bantock in the tax practice, James Black and Jane Summerfield in global regulatory, Jennifer Dickey in litigation, James Maltby in finance, Liam Naidoo in white collar, Hannah Quarterman in real estate, and Jonathan Russell in the corporate practice.
Steve Immelt, chief executive officer at Hogan Lovells, said: "Each of these individuals has demonstrated our core values through their hard work, client dedication, leadership behaviors and innovative thinking. Their additions to the partnership are a reflection of our truly global and diverse culture at the firm.
"With that in mind, I am particularly pleased that more than 40 percent of our new partners and new counsel are women. I congratulate all those who were promoted and wish them every success as they continue their career with us."
All roles have been effective since January 1. Last year, the firm had promoted six to the partnership in London.
