The Ministry of Law in Singapore (MinLaw) announced today that all nine international firms have received approvals to renew their Qualifying Foreign Law Practice (QFLP) licenses.

However, unlike the five-year terms granted to the firms previously, the QFLPs will now have varying durations on their licenses. According to a MinLaw spokesperson, "the majority of the licenses have been renewed for five years"; but there are firms that received shorter terms. MinLaw declined to name the firms that weren't given a full term renewal, nor did it provide details of the duration of the shorter licenses.^
