Sidley Austin has added corporate partner Parthiv Rishi to its global M&A and private equity practice in its Singapore base.

Rishi joins from Linklaters where he led its financial sponsor and private equity practice in Singapore.

His expertise includes cross-border M&A, joint venture and restructuring transactions. Recent experience includes advising Greenko Group on the acquisition of Orange Renewable from AT Capital.

According to LinkedIn, Rishi was at Linklaters since 2004. He was promoted to the partnership in 2017.

Constance Choy, managing partner of Sidley Austin's Asia Pacific region, said in a statement: "As we continue to expand our private equity and M&A capabilities, Parthiv's collaborative nature and natural ability to establish strong client relationships will make him a great fit for our global team.

"Adding Parthiv strengthens our already substantial ability to provide private equity and corporate clients with a robust offering that transcends international borders. This full service model is vitally important to our clients who already have investments in Asia or are looking to make investments in the Asia Pacific region."

The hire follows several private equity hires for the firm, including Eleanor Shanks in its London office last October.

At the end of last year, Sidley's annual promotion round saw two London lawyers being promoted to the partnership.
