Swiss law firm LALIVE has recruited the former managing partner of the Asia-Pacific region at Allen & Overy as its first CEO.
Thomas Brown
Thomas Brown, who was a partner at A&O for nearly two decades, first joined LALIVE firm as counsel in 2016, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Brown, a projects and finance lawyer, also previously acted as A&O's managing partner in Tokyo. He took on the new role of CEO at LALIVE at the start of this year, according to the firm.
The role will see Brown work closely with the firm's management committee and partners to drive growth in its key areas and jurisdictions, particularly in its Zurich and London offices.
LALIVE was founded in 1960, and currently has three offices in Geneva, Zurich and London, with the latter opening in 2018. The firm currently has 20 partners and over 130 employees.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays.
