RPC has hired DWF's head of business restructuring and a team of three other lawyers.

Finella Fogarty, who joined listed firm DWF from DLA Piper in 2014, will lead RPC's business restructuring team, the firm has announced. She is joined in the move by of counsel William Beck, senior associate Danielle Bennett and associate James Whelan.

The hires follow RPC's hire of restructuring and insolvency partner Paul Bagon from Rosenblatt Solicitors in mid-2019.

In a statement, Tom Hibbert, global head of RPC's commercial disputes practice, described Fogarty as "a natural leader" and "a rising star in business restructuring circles". He added: "We are particularly pleased that someone with Finella's track record in building and leading practices has chosen to join RPC to continue to build out her practice."

Various firms have been hiring in restructuring in London over the last year amid a spate of company collapses and an anticipated corporate downturn.

In March last year Mayer Brown hired DLA U.K. restructuring head Amy Jacks alongside global restructuring co-chair Michael Fiddy.

In November Weil, Gotshal & Manges hired Neil Devaney, a restructuring partner from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. And in May last year Keystone Law hired restructuring partner Alicia Videon from McDermott Will & Emery.
