A former Kennedys staffer's conduct was deemed "dishonest" by the SRA.

A former Kennedys staff member has been banned from the profession by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) after it found his conduct while working at the firm was "dishonest".

Robert Weekes, a former post room worker at Kennedys Management Services Limited (KMSL), which is the holding company for employees of Kennedys Law, was dismissed in July 2017 for "gross misconduct" after the firm found out that he had "stolen property belonging to the company".

Weekes was employed by the firm from June 2010 to July 2017 and worked in the firm's post room where one of his responsibilities was to order stationery, according to the SRA filing.

The regulator found that his conduct was "dishonest" and ordered him to pay its costs of £600.

The SRA also issued an order stating no solicitor, recognised body, manager or employee of a recognised body shall employ him except in accordance with the Law Society's permission.

Weekes is not currently working at, or for, a regulated practice, according to the filing.

Kennedys declined to comment. Legal Week was unable to make contact with Robert Weekes.
