Gide Loyrette Nouel has promoted four lawyers across its Brussels and Paris offices to partner.

The new appointments bolster the French heavyweight's teams in growing areas for the firm such as real estate, banking and finance, project finance and international law.

The internal promotions, announced Monday, bring the total number of partners at Gide to 113, according to managing partner Xavier de Kergommeaux.

"We named four partners internally last year, and we like to develop internally every year, depending on the development of our business," De Kergommeaux said.

The new partners are: Anna Dias, competition and international trade, Brussels; Victor Grandguillaume, projects-finance and infrastructure with a focus on Africa, Paris; Constantin Miliotis, real estate transactions and financing, Paris; and Laurent Vincent, banking and finance – international capital markets, Paris.

While real estate, finance and cross-border law are particularly robust at the moment, De Kergommeaux said, tax and IP are two areas where the firm is poised to seek opportunities for growth in the near future, he added.

Gide is one of France's largest law firms, posting revenue of £160 million in its latest financial results. The firm has about 550 lawyers across 12 offices in 11 countries.
