Pinsent Masons has hired another partner from Norton Rose Fulbright as it continues to build out its Australia construction practice.

Phillipa Beck will start at the U.K. headquartered firm's construction, advisory and disputes practice in Melbourne on March 3, a Pinsent Masons spokesperson said.

A spokesperson at Norton Rose Fulbright said Beck had left to join "a firm with a contractor-only focus."

"We thank her for her time at the firm – initially as a lawyer and then returning as a partner in the last two years after running her own consultancy," he said.

Beck ran her own consultancy for four years to 2018, according to her LinkedIn profile.

The hire of Beck follows Pinsents' poaching of two other projects partners from Norton Rose, Mark Waddell, and James Morgan-Payler, in August of last year.

Meanwhile, fellow U.K. headquartered firm DWF has also expanded its Australia practice this month.

On Wednesday it bolstered its ranks with the hire of two principal lawyers to its national property, planning and construction team in the country.
