Tax and legal specialist Andersen Global has announced the addition of a new Dubai-based firm to its international roster of partner companies.
The latest acquisitive move sees Andersen combine with Chartered House, a full-service tax firm, bringing breadth to Andersen's expansion strategy in the Middle East, where it already has alliances in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and several other locations.
The addition brings Andersen's global presence to around 5,000 professionals operating across 167 locations worldwide.
Chartered House was founded in 2018 by office managing partner Anurag Chaturvedi and includes nearly 20 tax professionals. It specialises in a broad range of direct tax, indirect tax, international tax structuring, advisory and compliance services.
In an interview with Law.com International, Chaturvedi said: "We are the first tax firm in the UAE to join Anderson Global. We are working with some very prominent families and groups in the UAE."
In a statement, the Chartered House added: "Our firm's culture focuses on stewardship and customising our approach to meet clients' expectations. Collaborating with Andersen Global will help us expand our service offerings to even better meet the increasingly complex and international needs of our clients."
Established in 2013, Andersen Global is an international association of legally separate, independent member firms comprised of tax and legal professionals around the world. Last month, the firm entered into a collaboration agreement with a law firm in the Republic of Guinea, giving it a presence in its 27th African nation.
