Entries for this year's Legal Week Innovation Awards are closing on Friday March 6.

This is the last chance for firms, in-house teams, chambers, and others to nominate the lawyers at the forefront of legal innovation.

The awards, now hosted for the sixth year, are open to all law firms, chambers, in-house teams, suppliers and alternative business structures. They recognise their work on precedent-setting projects, initiatives and other revolutionary change in the legal market.

This year, the ceremony will take place May 22, 2020 at the Hilton Bankside, with 20 categories open for legal service providers including artificial intelligence innovation, rising star innovation, diversity innovation and lifetime contributor among many others.

Last year, Bird & Bird took home the award for Future of Legal Services Innovation (Large Private Practice) for its "highly sophisticated" tool that quickly appraises the value of patent portfolios. Sky took home the prize for in-house innovation.

An award was also presented to Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner for AI innovation for its use of AI in reviewing disputes at their outset, enabling lawyers to recommend to clients whether to fight or settle.

Hogan Lovells which picked up the award for corporate social responsibility innovation for its initiative training women in rural communities in India to deliver solar panels in their villages.

Other top performers included White & Case, Paul Hastings, and Latham & Watkins.
