Norton Rose Fulbright has hired Allen & Overy partner Christoph Enderstein in its Frankfurt, Germany, office, a sign that it is further strengthening its German practices.

Enderstein is scheduled to join the firm in mid-March and will work primarily in the area of debt capital markets.

At Allen & Overy, Enderstein headed the firm's debt capital markets team. He focused on advising national and international issuers, public law-governed entities and investment banks in connection with international debt capital market transactions and related regulatory issues. He joined the firm in 2015.

Prior to that, he was at Ashurst, where he had been a partner since 2008.

"Germany is an important market for Norton Rose Fulbright and the addition of such an experienced and well-connected colleague strengthens our capital markets practice in a strategic area," Oliver Sutter, head of the firm's German banking team, said in a statement.

Recently, banking partner Caroline Herkströter returned to Norton Rose Fulbright after spending some years as head of DekaBank's legal department. Last month, the firm announced that Regina Rath would join as a banking partner from Simmons & Simmons.

The hire of Enderstein, the fifth partner addition in the firm's Frankfurt office in the last two years, underscores the importance of the Frankfurt office in Germany, Ralf Springer, head of Germany at Norton said in a statement.

A spokesperson for Allen & Overy could not immediately be reached for comment.
