Paul Hastings has added to its global antitrust and anti-corruption practice and European competition practice, hiring Camille Paulhac, a senior associate at Allen & Overy, as a partner.

The move brings to four the number of new partners hired at Paul Hastings in Paris in the past 12 months, the firm said in a statement.

Paulhac, a specialist in the digital, financial, aeronautical and energy sectors, will divide his time between Paris and Brussels, the firm said. Prior to joining Allen & Overy in 2010, he practiced at Linklaters for four years and was seconded to the legal department of Airbus Group and to the Caisse des Dépôts, the investment arm of the French state.

"We are delighted to welcome Camille Paulhac, whose reputation, technical skills, and entrepreneurial approach add to our existing expertise in complex competition matters and further strengthen and support our Paris M&A and private equity teams," Olivier Vermeulen, chair of the Paris office of Paul Hastings, said in a statement.

Paulhac joins EU competition partner Pierre Kirch, who has practiced at Paul Hastings since 2004 and who also divides his time between Paris and Brussels.

"I am very pleased to join Paul Hastings' Competition & European Law team in Paris and to work closely with Pierre Kirch and the entire Paul Hastings network," Paulhac said in a statement.

Paul Hastings has brought in a total of four partners since last May when it hired tax partner Bruno Leroy from Dechert with a two-person team. Leroy specializes in mergers and acquisitons and private equity tax restructuring.

Charles Cardon, another Dechert partner, joined Paul Hastings in October 2019 as a corporate partner, and Nicola Bonucci, director of legal affairs at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, joined in November 2019 as a partner in investigations and white-collar defense.
