Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe has hired a four-partner team from Watson Farley & Williams (WFW) in London, the firm has announced.

The team comprises energy and infrastructure partners Evan Stergoulis, Simon Alsey, Ravinder Sindhu and real estate partner Simon Folley.

As part of the move, Stergoulis will become the firm's new co-head of its global renewables practice. Stergoulis was previously head of WFW's energy and infrastructure sector group until 2018, according to Orrick's statement.

The team is due to join on April 1, 2020.

Blake H Winburne, Orrick's Houston-based energy and infrastructure sector leader, said in a statement: "We are thrilled to attract to our London office this exceptional team. We have long admired them in the market and are confident that this group will substantially advance our capabilities as one of the leading advisors to the global renewable energy and power sectors."

Orrick has been on a hiring spree this year, and earlier this month hired the head of PwC's U.K. financial regulatory services team.

The firm also launched a cyber and data privacy litigation and regulatory enforcement practice earlier this year with a duo from PwC Legal.
