Plethora of Firms Join Virus Client Response Team Efforts
Paul Hastings, Hogan Lovells and more have set up coronavirus hubs and tools.

More firms, including Paul Hastings and Hogan Lovells, have joined in efforts to inform clients about the rapid developments of the coronavirus and its impacts on them.
Paul Hastings has put together a task force and a library of content helping clients keeping track of the situation, staying informed and offering guidance. The firm has also set up an online page monitoring U.S. courts closures, cancellations and restrictions arising from the outbreak.
Hogan Lovells has launched a COVID-19 Hub helping clients assess the impacts of the virus across all industries and sectors. The hub includes a crisis leadership preparedness portal and app helping in-house teams plan for potential crisis situations, as well as a supply chain disruption tool and complex contracts tool to generate guidance reports to their clients.
Akin Gump has also set up an advisory board comprising over 60 lawyers globally and a resource center to help clients respond to issues stemming from the pandemic.
Meanwhile, Squire Patton Boggs has put together a coronavirus working group led by London partner Caroline Noblett and a resource hub.
Ashurst has also set up a COVID-19 hub and produced a series of podcasts and videos to answer virus-related client concerns.
Other firms working to set up advisory hubs and committees include Simmons & Simmons, Haynes and Boone, Oury Clark, as well as Mishcon de Reya and Mayer Brown.
The virus has now spread to about 210,000 people and killed close to 9,000 worldwide, according to the latest data provided by the World Health Organisation.
