A former partner at listed law firm Rosenblatt claimed that the leaders of the firm, including founder Ian Rosenblatt, discriminated against him and dismissed him unfairly, employment tribunal listings have revealed.

Noel Deans, who was a partner in the firm's employment practice until last month, left the firm on February 24 this year, according to a person at the firm.

Deans is listed as the claimant in tribunal proceedings scheduled at London Central tribunal next month.

According to the listings, the claims relate to breach of contract, unfair dismissal, as well as racial discrimination. However, a spokesperson for Rosenblatt told Law.com International's U.K. arm Legal Week that the discrimination element had "been dismissed from this hearing".

The listings show that Deans brought the claim against the firm itself, as well as its founder and senior partner, Ian Rosenblatt, the current CEO Nicola Foulston, and the administration director Anthony Field.

Deans joined Rosenblatt as a partner in 2017 from disputes specialist Bivonas. He was also previously the head of employment, pensions and incentives at the London office of K&L Gates.

Earlier this year, Winston & Strawn's head of litigation, Michael Madden, brought claims against the U.S. firm on allegations of discrimination as well as infringement of the Public Interest Disclosure Act. The claim was subsequently withdrawn.
