Allen & Overy has continued its recent growth spurt in the U.S. with another partner hire.

The firm has boosted its team in New York with Norton Rose Fulbright head of New York intellectual property disputes and co-head of the autonomous vehicle international business group, Paul Keller.

Keller rejoins A&O after five years at Norton Rose, before which he had been a partner at A&O since 2010. He specialises in patent and trade secret matters in the automotive and fintech spaces.

A&O U.S. senior partner Tim House said in a statement:  "Allen & Overy's litigation practice is focused on maximising our offering in the areas of disputes that are truly global, and patent and trade secret litigation clients face interconnected and interrelated threats around the world. As we further build out our U.S. IP litigation practice, starting with Paul's hire, A&O will be the only firm to offer scaled and high-quality capabilities in each of China, Europe, and the U.S., which represent the three most important IP markets in the world."

Earlier in March the Magic Circle firm boosted its Washington D.C. base with two federal enforcement partners from Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe.

A&O has also grown its New York base in recent months with the addition of senior managing director Julian Moore from investigative and advisory service firm K2 Intelligence as a partner and a counsel from U.S. firm Cahill Gordon & Reindel last year.
