Pinsent Masons has promoted 17 lawyers to the firm's partnership as part of its 2020 promotional round, including two partners outside of its traditional legal service practices.
Forensic accountant Hayley Boxall has been made partner alongside David Halliwell, the director of Pinsents' client solutions arm, which assists clients with legal transformation.
Boxall joined the firm in 2006, while Halliwell joined in 2012 from DLA Piper. He was previously director of knowledge at Pinsents.
The remaining 15 new partners are from the firm's five core global sectors; energy, financial services, infrastructure, real estate and advanced manufacturing & technology. The majority are based in the firm's UK offices, with an additional two Australian partners and one new partner in Hong Kong and Germany apiece.
The promotional round is a slight increase on last year's 15 partners, but shy of the firm's bumper 2018 round which saw 23 lawyers promoted to the partnership.
The promotions, which take effect on 1 May, bring the total number of partners to 474 with female representation across the partnership now reaching nearly 30%, according to the firm.
In a statement, Richard Foley, senior partner at Pinsent Masons, said: "The firm's commitment to provide its clients with innovative, solutions-based legal services is the touchstone of our business.
"Now, more than ever, developing talent that supports this is critical as our clients grapple with the challenges posed by coronavirus."
Pinsents partner promotions follow Slaughter and May and Macfarlanes, which were announced earlier this month. For the latter, it was the smallest promotional round in a decade, with just two new partners appointed.
