Holman Fenwick Willan has hired workplace, industrial relations and safety specialist Charmaine Tsang to bolster the workplace relations practice it started in Australia last year.

Tsang and senior associate Steve Bowler both join from the Perth-based firm Lavan.

With the hires, Holman Fenwick continues to expand its workplace relations practice in Australia, which it launched early last year with the hire of a specialist eight-lawyer team in Sydney and Melbourne, and completes HFW's workplace relations offering across Australia, the firm said.

"We are excited to have Charmaine and Steve join our growing team. This is a critical step in advancing our national capability," Mark Sant, head of workplace relations, said in a statement.

He also said the duo would give the firm an important presence in Perth and strengthen its national work health and safety and industrial relations capabilities.

Lavan did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
