DWF, the U.K.-listed law firm that opened its fourth office in Germany last year, has appointed Oliver Bolthausen as managing partner of Germany, effective May 1.

Bolthausen replaces Michael Falter, a corporate law specialist who has led the firm in Germany since the acquisition of BridgehouseLaw in 2016.

Oliver Bolthausen has extensive experience in dispute resolution, arbitration and mediation. He joined DWF as an equity partner in 2016. Before that, he was with BridgehouseLaw for 11 years, according to his LinkedIn page. He managed the DWF Munich office and is currently the firm's global head of the international arbitration & disputes practice.

''Everyone at DWF has witnessed Oliver's strong leadership skills, his ability to implement values, motivate people and generate business in Germany and globally. "I wish Oliver the greatest of success as we embark on the next chapter in Germany," DWF chief executive officer Stefan Paciorek said in a statement.

Paciorek also thanked Falter for his contribution to the firm.
