Dentons announced sweeping cost-cutting measures in its Paris office Tuesday to combat the COVID-19 crisis, including a 10% reduction in associate pay, up to a 50% reduction in work hours for some support staff, and deferred discretionary spending.

The cuts in Paris are on top of measures announced this week across the firm's continental Europe and Central Asia regions, including a 15% to 20% cut in partner monthly drawings for the next six months and up to 20% reduction in salary for business support team heads.

"Recognizing that this crisis will impact markets in different ways, and at different times, our country managers are empowered to take local measures in order to protect their teams," Dentons said.
