Linklaters has hired JP Morgan Securities managing director and associate general counsel Pansy Wong.

Wong is set to join the London financial regulation practice in July. Wong trained with Linklaters in Hong Kong. She left the firm as a managing associate in 2004.

Since then she has worked at Goldman Sachs as a managing director and senior counsel and most recently at JP Morgan Securities, the global bank's wealth management business.

Peter Bevan, Linklaters financial regulation head said in a statement: "Pansy is a strong and timely addition to the practice leadership as we help clients with changes in regulatory regimes and those aspects of their businesses which are impacted by regulations.

"Her practical experience navigating the legal and regulatory compliance risks faced by financial services firms will greatly complement our combined advisory and contentious practice where we find ourselves increasingly focused on helping clients to manage their regulatory risk exposure."
