The British Legal Awards 2020 are now open for entries, with a host of new categories introduced to reflect the sterling work carried out through the turbulent times our industry finds itself in.

Prizes for new awards Crisis Management Team of the Year, Transatlantic Firm of the Year and Mentor of the Year will be handed out at this year's ceremony, held on November 19 at the Hilton Park Lane in London.

Hosted by Legal Week in association with the City of London Law Society, the evening will feature 30 categories that will celebrate the U.K.'s leading law firms and legal departments.

Entrants have until June 30 to apply for the categories, which include the hotly contested areas of International Law Firm of the Year, M&A Team of the Year and, also new for 2020, the Global Leaders In Law In-house Award for Outstanding Innovation and Collaboration.

A panel of independent judges will decide on the winners for the categories.

Last year, White & Case took home the prize for International Law Firm of the Year after a period of aggressive expansion and extraordinary economic growth.

BT scored prizes for two in-house awards, while Gateley scooped U.K. Law Firm of the Year.

This year, with emotional support more important than ever, the event will be supporting legal mental health charity LawCare.

Please note: We are using a new submission portal this year where you will be asked to create a login before you begin your nomination.
